VSDC Free Video Editor Comes Up with More Audio Options

July 1, 2015

Flash-Integro announces a new version of VSDC Free Video Editor 3.2.  The acclaimed video processing tool now features a number of options to enhance audio editing as well. In particular, the new version introduces waveforms for audio and video objects for precise audio handling, visual editing of audio effects, and flexible volume control.

An easy-to-use, massively visual, feature-rich free video editing tool for home use – that’s the first impression VSDC Free Video Editor makes. Indeed, the software, while being 100% free, offers a lot of functions often found in professional video editing apps only. Non-linear video editing, subpixel precision, flexible object behavior, and tons of visual effects combine to create robust and effortless creation or editing of video at home. The new VSDC Free Video Editor 3.2 aims to deliver more audio editing options too.

Eugene Hapov, the CEO at Flash-Integro comments: “Audio is a natural part of any movie, clip, or home video. In the new release we decided to put the focus on giving our users more audio editing options”.

The central part of the new release is waveforms. The new version displays waveforms for audio and video objects to allow a user to accurately match them and edit as a whole. For instance, the user can now easily strip out silent fragments of a video or apply an effect to the given fragment with utter accuracy. And the audio effects (few dozens are available) can be edited visually now for an even better result. Among other novelties in the new version is more flexible control over sound volume. Now the volume can rise and fall linearly or non-linearly and even in an arbitrary combination of linear and curve parts. The option will come in handy when underscoring dramatic moments of a video or making soft audio transitions.

In spite of its vast functionality, VSDC Free Video Editor demonstrates extreme user friendliness and straightforwardness. Almost all video editing tasks are made visually in the tool by means of various Wizards. At the same time, the app allows for precise fine-tuning for those users who want to be in full control of the video timeline and effects.

VSDC Free Video Editor Makes Complex Video Editing Simpler

April 22, 2015

Flash-Integro releases VSDC Free Video Editor 3.1, featuring even more flexible and more convenient editing of video files. In particular, managing of objects is easier now as they are available directly on the timeline, while the behavior of objects can be very complex thanks to the new visual editor that greatly speeds up the adjustment of object parameters.

Meet the new VSDC Free Video Editor, a true non-linear video editing tool delivering quick and effortless manipulation of video files in many supported formats. Non-linear editing means objects on a video can move along complex arbitrary paths, interact, change their shape and parameters, transform to other objects. The potential of non-linear editing is amazing!

The new version of VSDC Free Video Editor is a serious milestone toward increased convenience and unbeaten flexibility that is provided to the editor and it is free and generally intended for home use. Each non-linear parameter, regardless of whether a position, special effect, or value of brightness, can be modified directly on the timeline bar. This means that a user does not have to open multiple dialogs, windows, or toolbars – all the functionality that he or she needs is now within clicking distance. In addition, editing of numeric parameters, such as contrast values, rotation angles, coordinates, etc. has become easier in the new update thanks to the built-in visual editor.

Previously, users were able to program quite complex behavior of the video objects thanks to in-app math functions. In the new version, VSDC Free Video Editor offers even more flexibility. Now, each parameter curve optionally consists of several paths, where each such segment itself is either linear or curved. This opens a lot of new video editing possibilities unavailable before: more accurate transitions, more intricate positioning, interesting effects combinations, etc.

Overall, editing of audio and video files has become simpler and faster. For example, deleting or restoring of fragments on the timeline does not require using the Wizard now; the timeline bar became more functional, yet still very straightforward even to newbie users. The update also features several critical bug fixes and introduces an important correction to the license agreement – VSDC Free Video Editor is now free even for commercial use.

Impressive Pack of New Features Improves VSDC Free Video Editor

December 10, 2014

The new VSDC Free Video Editor 2.3.0 update released by Flash-Integro adds 3 dedicated utilities to download, burn, and convert videos, speeds up exporting and preview, reduces memory consumption and improves the use of multi-core CPUs for fluent and smooth performance.

VSDC Free Video Editor keeps delivering new functions and options with every version. And the latest one brings an impressive number of useful options too. In the center of the new update are: enhanced performance of the application thanks to reduced memory consumption, better utilization of CPU multiple cores, and the reworked algorithms of cubic and supersampling interpolation resulting in 3 to 4 times faster resizing. The latter option also greatly speeds up exporting and previewing of videos. Parallel processing of scenes on multiple CPU cores increases the smoothness of previewing and promotes 50-100% faster format converting.

In addition, VSDC Free Video Editor now features 3 new capable tools to manipulate videos easier. The first instrument is a video format converter equipped with optimized format-to-format conversion presets. While in-editor conversion is still possible, using a devoted tool delivers better size/quality ratios. The disk recording utility can now burn any files the user wants to a CD/DVD/Blu-ray disk, not just projects created in VSDC Video Editor. Finally, the Downloader tool can retrieve videos for editing from multiple web video services starting from YouTube.

Among other novelties are full-featured group operations in the Wizard for easier handling of multiple objects in the timeline, better thumbnail visualization, and new filters and effects that also work faster than ever before.

VSDC Free Video Editor is perhaps the only video editing solution of such versatility and ease of use that is offered for free, no strings attached. And the latest update sets the new standard for a free video editor.

Non-linear Free Video Editor for Non-Linear Special Effects

March 03, 2015

Flash-Integro announces VSDC Free Video Editor 3.0, a new update of its acclaimed video editing software. The new version redefines video editing by making it 100% non-linear. Practically, this means the program provides a lot of previously unavailable video editing options, while existing techniques have become faster and more efficient.

While home video editing tools are usually simple, this doesn’t mean they can’t deliver decent capabilities. VSDC Free Video Editor 3.0 recently released by Flash-Integro proves this by enhancing its signature non-linear editing toward even higher flexibility.

Non-linear editing, a key feature of the program, allows users to arbitrarily place objects and video fragments on the timeline and easily manipulate them. The new update of VSDC Free Video Editor goes further and provides a simpler and more intuitive way of handling objects and effects. Previously, objects and effects were controlled by constant or linearly changing values – position on the screen, rotation speed, intensity of a certain special effect, or a specific contrast value. Now, all those parameters (and dozens of others!) have become non-linear too.

Instead of propagating multiple objects and effects in the project to achieve the desired goal, users can now simply adjust a few parameters or select a ready-to-go math function to program virtually any possible behavior. For example, to make an object pulsate – appear and disappear according to some pattern – previously a user had to add multiple Fade In and Fade Out effects, synchronize them on the timeline and adjust each effect object individually. Now, the same can be done in a minute by simply applying a proper, functional curve to the Transparency effect. In addition, the new approach allows for creating effects that were hardly achievable in the previous version of the editor or not achievable at all.

Thanks to such truly non-linear freedom, users armed with VSDC Free Video Editor 3.0 can express creativity easier and achieve better results in less time. This, of course, is crucial for home video editing.

VSDC Video Editor with Transparent Video Support is Announced

October 15, 2014

Flash-Integro developed a new major release of its acclaimed VSDC Free Video Editor 2.2.2. The update features industry-unique support for semi-transparent videos, offers convenient pre-configured profiles for web videos, adds support for SRT subtitles for easy labeling of and commenting on a video, and brings in instantly applied styles and effects.

The first great novelty is the support creating of semi-transparent videos. What is that? Now, a user can add semi-transparent objects to a video just as easy as normal images, movies, and other typical objects and create own semi-transparent videos. The app can work with multiple formats that use an alpha-channel or other ways to represent transparent pixels, such as PNG, lossless JPEG and GIF. Semi-transparency is a great artistic effect and a powerful option for video presentations, but unfortunately it rarely finds itself in affordable video editors. VSDC Free Video Editor now bridges this gap.

The second new option is a whole new pre-defined profile category – web videos. With it, a user can make a video, then instantly select one of the web video profiles and receive a ready-to-upload file in the given format (FLV, MP4, SWF, GIF) and settings optimized for the Internet. With the growing popularity of various video casts, YouTube channels, let’s plays, and video reviews of all kinds, such a quick way to get a turnkey Web video will be greatly appreciated by users.

Instant styles and effects pursue the same goal: to let the user quickly apply a cool effect to a video and immediately see the result. The support for SRT subtitles makes it possible to add multiple text comments to certain scenes of the video using the built-in script language. And if that wasn’t enough for the update, the new version also eases timeline operation and speeds up transparent object rendering thanks to SSE2 support.

Featuring many cool improvements, new options and possibilities, VSDC Free Video Editor remains straightforward, intuitive and, of course, free software.
